Foo Fighters announced a surprise show at the 9:30 club. despite my best efforts when the tickets went on sale, i didn't manage to get any, but thank goodness laura did! they played an impressive 2 1/4 hour set, including a guest appearance by (9:30 club owner) seth hurwitz on drums for one song near the end.

half way through the set, dave grohl suddenly appears on the bar at the rear right of the club and does a jagermeister shot.
dave continues to play, standing on the bar.

more bouncers than i've ever seen guarded the stage for the foos.
dave did a lotta yapping to the crowd.
camera phones outnumbered all other camera types.
dave has nice teeth (Laura pointed this out)
jager seemed to provide quite the energy boost for mr. g
